Yatish Chandrasekhar (PCC-ICF) is a life, leadership and executive coach; mentor coach and coach educator. 

Yatish founded The Yogi Compass to provide coaching, mentoring and leadership development services to individuals, leaders, teams and organizations.

Yatish spent the first 10 years of his career in Strategy and Operations in the Retail Industry and has been instrumental in conceptualizing and launching new retail brands and establishing retail stores across India and the Middle East.  Answering a deep calling to fulfil his passion for Helping People Succeed, Yatish pivoted into the Learning & Development space and has established and led large learning ecosystems in the past 18 years.  Significant among them are establishing an in-house retail academy for the Aditya Birla Group (Aditya Birla Centre for Retail Excellence) where he led a team of over 50 L&D professionals and directed large-scale capability building and upskilling projects impacting over 20,000 employees annually.    

As part of his career in L&D, Yatish has led the Talent Transformation function for a popular retail MNC, where he championed value indoctrination sessions and pioneered robust assessment and career progression initiatives.  Yatish has delivered in-house and public workshops on popular leadership programs such as ‘7 Habits of Highly Effective People’ and led the consulting and training practice for The Friedman Group. 

Yatish has trained over 1000+ people managers among over 5000 individuals and has over 750 hours of professional coaching experience, working with cross-cultural teams from India, South-east Asia, Middle East and Europe.  Yatish is also a Mentor Coach and is dedicated to developing other coaches through mentoring and training. 

Yatish learnt his life and business lessons while apprenticing under his father during his teens.  He is deeply influenced and inspired by Swami Chinmayananda ji and his teachings on the Bhagavad Geeta and the Upanishads.

Yatish is an alumnus of the University of Mysore and Asian Institute of Management, Manila, The Philippines.  Yatish played pivotal roles as a youth leader in organising and managing cultural and educational events for youth.  He has also been a social activist with a strong presence in the print media before the ‘twitter and facebook’ era.
